Christmas in October

'Tis the season of giving. And for a certain Lake County Republican Maga-Donor, the season started back in October:

Richard Uihlein donated $5,600 to Republican Dick Barr's election campaign committee, Citizens to Elect Dick Barr, on Oct. 6, according to records obtained from the Illinois State Board of Elections (ISBE). In addition to this contribution of $5,600 to Dick Barr, records show that Richard Uihlein has made 100 other contributions of $1,000 or more in the past five years.

Confirmed Lake County Board Commissioner, Dick Barr did not need to spend the $5600 donation on an election campaign this year. That's because he was not up for election in November. Barr's term does not expire until November of 2022.
