During the pandemic, he promoted the antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine as a cure for COVID-19. (Dr Oz owns stock in companies that manufacture or distribute the drug.) Meanwhile, President Trump was so impressed he said he was taking hydroxychloroquine himself.
