In their defense, the Chicago City Wire is no doubt held to the same exacting journalistic standards as its sister publication, the Lake County Gazette -- aka Lake County's #1 fake news source.

One insider explained things this way: "They use Russian news bots to generate all of their stories. The facial recognition algorithm probably mixed up Roskam with [State Rep] Nick Sauer."
